Baronia de Rialb: La Baronía de Rialb is a group of small villages, chalets and houses arround the Rialb Valley. It is a natural environment, one of the biggest and less inhabited in the region of la Noguera, and It stands out due to its great number of historical monuments from the 11th and 12th century. It has a total amount of 23 churches and different hermitages surrounded by a natural and agricultural landscape, where there are few traces of human existence. It is an area with a natural richness and diversity, respectfull of its history; the history of all of us.
Places of interest: The romanesque monastery of Santa Maria de Gualter, bombarded during the Spanish Civil War; The church of Santa María de Palau de Rialb, newly restored; Sant Serni de Bellfort, Sant Esteve de Pallerols, Sant Girvés de la Torre, Sant Iscle and El Dolmen de Sols de Rius, from the prehistoric age.
Peramola: The territory of Peramola is located in the south part of Alt Urgell, between the municipalities of Coll De Nargó, Oliana and Basella, next to the region of La Noguera. Through the so called Route of the Corb, an itinerary that one travels on foot, you will visit the most captivating enclaves of Peramola.
Through this journey, you will be able to discover the church of Sant Miquel De Peramola, a building with only one nave that dates from the year 1026; Santa María De Castellebre, of which there is record since the year 942; and Santa Llúcia de Tragó, which dates from the year 1279.
In relation to the remainders of the Romanesque monuments, it stands out the church of Sant Girvés; the chapel of Sant Pere Màrtir, near the Mas De Rumbau; the church of Sant Polnar or Sant Pau; and the Chappel of La Mare de Déu de la Roser, in Cortiuda, which remains completely preserved in relation to its architectonic structure.
